I had so much fun doing the mosaic over the shower that I decided to paint the ceiling as well. This is color #1. I'm going for a sort of Van Gogh sky - but, you know, doing no research and just using latex paint, a 1.5" brush. This is about 5 feet by 10 feet, so it'll be my largest non-solid color painting yet. Luckily the ceiling is only just shy of 8 feet so I don't have to stand on a ladder to do it. Does make for a sore neck after a while though. I have three more shades of blue to add. I'm still trying to decide if I am going to vary the width of my 'brush stroke' or not... But it'll be two weeks before I get back there to do more, so I have plenty of time to mull it over.

Remember to respect those power tools...

I finished reading Heller's 'Catch-22' tonight. Great book, funny, go read it. Yeah, thought so, I was probably the only one who had not.

 

I had to find out if 'Catch-22' was a popular phrase before the book came out.
